Frequently Asked Questions

– How do I place an order for my cake?

You have two options, you can click here https://palermocustomcakes.com/book-an-appointment/ and book a phone consultation, or send us an email with the date of your event and the venue that you are working with.

– How soon can I book an appointment?

We suggest booking an appointment around 2 months prior to your event. We open up appointment slots a few months in advance so please check the online booking system for availabilities.

– I looked online and was not able to find a date to book an appointment?

Not a problem, just send us an email with the date of your event and the venue you are working with (if any) and we will forward you all the information you need to place your order.

– I am having a wedding and my cake is included in my package with the venue I work with. What designs are included with my venue?

Your venue has a set gallery of designs included that you can find here https://palermocustomcakes.com/venue-wedding-cakes-2/ . Please note that the amount of tiers will depend on your guest count. Also, we do not provide or apply fresh flowers; this is done by your florist at the venue the day of the wedding / event.

– Do you make grooms cakes?

Yes, we make very creative and unique cakes for the groom. Speak to your cake consultant or email us your idea and we will put it together for you and most importantly keep it as a surprise.

– Do you offer other items aside from cakes?

Palermo’s Bakery has a wide selection of desserts that can be customized for your special day. Included are donuts, cake pops, cupcakes, pretzel rods, Rice Krispies, Oreos, plus all the classic Italian pastries in mini and regular versions.

– What is the latest I can place the order for my cake?

We encourage you to place your order sooner than later, but your deadline is 2 weeks before the event.

– What flavors do you offer?

We have a wide selection of flavors in our menu. Please note that when working with a venue, some flavors may not be included in your package and an upgrade charge will apply. To learn about pricing, please reach out to your cake consultant, who will explain the details on the charges.

– What is the process for picking up a tasting kit?

Our tasting kits are available for all our customers that are ordering their cake with us. The first kit is complimentary, but you are able to purchase additional kits for $10 each. The box includes 16 flavors for you to taste.

– What is the lead time for a custom cake?

We try our best to accommodate custom cakes in the shortest lead time possible, but some designs are not possible on short notice. We recommend at least 4 business days, but do not hesitate to ask our representatives if what you are looking for is possible.

– Do you guys deliver?

We deliver all around the tri-state area and fees will apply. If you are having your event at one of the venues we partner with, we are happy to offer you complimentary delivery.

– What do I do if I have a last-minute order?

Please call 201-641-1654 and our main office will see what they can do to process the order for you. Please note that there are some designs/customizations that cannot be accommodated in a short period of time.
