Whoopi Goldberg got emotional as she and her co-hosts celebrated her 60th birthday on The View on Friday and also took a moment to honor a late friend loved by millions.

She was joined by two surprise celebrity friends, Robert De Niro and Billy Crystal. Goldberg had worked with the latter and fellow stand-up performer Robin Williams on several televised Comic Relief comedy fundraisers in the '80s. Williams died at age 63 in 2014.

On Friday, November 13, 2015 on The View, Billy Crystal wheeled out Goldberg's birthday cake that was created by Palermo's Bakery in Little Ferry, NJ. The two-tier birthday cake showcased Goldberg's patriotism and topped with a sculpted, fondant shoe. The shoe's regal, gold accents were created with gold, red and navy fondant and had feathers coming out of the top with a cut out of Whoopi!

Palermo's Bakery has routinely created custom cakes for The View and countless other celebrities in the Tri-State Area.
